Semipreg / prepreg
In the world of composites preimpregnated fabrics well known as prepregs are used for a long time.
Regarding increasing demand for this way of dry production of laminate parts we have developed our own alternative, which keeps all advantages of prepregs and adds new ones. We started to call our product semipreg, becase we are talking about fabric impregnated from one side by resin foil LETOXIT LFX.

SEMIPREG = fabric impregnated from one side by foil resin |
Advantages
► SOLVENT FREE TECHNOLOGY!
As a big advantage in comparison with prepreg we can consider zero contents of volatile compounds. Due this characteristic no volatile compounds are released during final part preparation and curing!
► SPEED UP YOUR PRODUCTION
in compariosn with liquid resin you can produce 3x faster!
► GREAT VARIABILITY IN COMPOSITION
you can choose from various types of epoxy foil (film) resins LETOXIT LFX and required glass, carbon or hybrid fabric. In our product range, you can find resins developed for impregnation of dense fabrics (carbon, aramide), with high temperature resistance (250°C), with higher impact strength or resins fulfiling standards FAR 23 and FAR 25.
► CUSTOMER MADE
in a view of great variability we can offer you the right semipreg for various types of special applications. Suitable for production of large volume or for production of small quantities too.
► CONSULTANCY
if you know characteristics of the final part, we will suggest you optimal composition free of charge!

Curing cycle comes from characteristics of LF Technology, i.e. the most common curing process is 60 minutes at 120 °C. For lower curing temperature it is possible to use foil resin with curing process 240 min. at 80 °C.
Without the change of properties, the semipreg can be stored for 1 month at +20°C, for 4 months at 5°C and up to 1 year for –18°C. The temperature +30°C mustn’t be crossed during transport and storage
Sample of application:
Semipreg SGC 0301 together with Nomex core is used in construction of interior ceiling panels in aircraft L410, producer Aircraft Industries.
